It's time to meet the public
By November 2024, I was ready to present 'Pralinoix de Rocamadour' at the markets. It was very late in the year, but some Christmas markets still had stalls available. I was offered a stall at the local Christmas markets in Alvignac and the beautiful villages of Saint-Sozy and Creysse. I also had the opportunity to offer tastings of 'Pralinoix de Rocamadour' at the delicatessen l'Épicerie Lespinasse in Martel.
Preparations
In a hurry, I had to find or build a portable stall. A table, decorations, signage, and presentation materials were all needed.
I needed a way to accept card payments. Fortunately, Banque Populaire offers an app that turns my cell phone into a contactless payment terminal. Shopify POS provided me with a mobile cash register.
Finally, I organized a hygienic way to offer tastings to the public.
My preparations weren't perfect, but they were good enough for me to try them.
Towards the markets
I started by offering tastings in front of the delicatessen l'Épicerie Lespinasse in Martel,
then I continued to the Christmas markets of Saint-Sozy...
...Creysse,
and Alvignac.
Every market day was an opportunity to improve my small stand. But the greatest benefit was meeting people. Inviting them to taste the "Pralinoix de Rocamadour," answering their questions, and listening to their comments. The other exhibitors were welcoming and presented a rich variety of artisanal products. It was clear to me that introducing the "Pralinoix de Rocamadour" to the world, to discover and taste it, would be an essential element of my marketing strategy.
Pop-up shop
Now that the summer season is well underway, I'm using my market stall as a pop-up shop at the ice cream farm shop Les Goûts et les Couleurs Rocamadour . I'm always delighted to see the reactions of people who try "Pralinoix de Rocamadour" for the first time.
Of course, I hope to sell a lot of jars. But I'm happy when just one person likes "Pralinoix de Rocamadour" so much that they have to buy it and take it home.
And now?
It's simple!...offer "Pralinoix de Rocamadour" to the general public, one market after another, one pop-up shop after another. Discreetly, I have the ambition to offer "Pralinoix de Rocamadour" at the biggest gourmet fairs. But for now, I'm content with local opportunities.
Happy tasting to all my customers!
